Become a tree

I just returned from a wonderful event with a small group of great women in sustainability as part of the second WINS Cafe St Albans.

We had a fab walk among falling leaves in the local park and then coffee and cake in the cosy room of St Albans' eco-hub, the Green House.

I gave my participants a task to self-reflect while we were on the walk.

I invited them to reflect on a sticky and stressful situation they are currently dealing with and think like trees.

What would a tree do right now?

How would it let go of the situation, knowing that it will be fine, as spring will come back and new leaves will grow?

Then we went for a 5-minute silent walk.

This week I invite you to do the same: no music, no podcasts, no talking to anyone, just you in nature. Take a silent walk and ask yourself, what would a tree do right now? And how?
